In the spotlight: ASOS Sale Top Picks

ASOS have a SALE! Here are my some of my top picks:

Glossybox: October 2014 Review

For those of you who don't already know what a Glossybox is, it's essentially a beauty box of 5 treats that get sent to your door every month. In order to get them, you need to sign up to the Glossybox subscription service here.

Their October 2014 box was a Pop Art edition and is worth £50.

These are the items I received this month:

So Susan Cosmetics Flutter Mascara
This mascara is advertised on the Glossybox product card as £14.95 for the full size. I am apprehensive about this mascara, as I have recently purchased the They're Real! Mascara from Benefit and I don't feel like I can budge onto something new. Glossybox like to feature the So Susan brand a lot, as I previously received a concealer palette from them in an earlier Glossybox and I don't have great feelings about it. The brush is quite thin and doesn't give way to make those bigger lashes that I prefer. All in all, I think I will leave this mascara as one for desperate occasions.
You can buy it here.

Nuxe Créme Fresh® De Beauté Mask £19.50 for 50ml
This month Glossybox promised 1 full size Nuxe product in every box, as well as there being 6 products as oppose to the traditional 5 so I assume this was the additional bonus we received. This is a 24 Hour soothing and rehydrating mask, which is beneficial to those (like me) who often find that you get dry skin. I used it immediately on the evening I got my Glossybox and my skin did feel better and smoother, however a day later I have now got the biggest zit I have had for months planted nicely on my chin...

I have found you could buy it cheaper for £13 here.

Rimmel London BB Cream Matte £6.99 for 30ml
I'm someone who isn't very make up savvy and gets easily confused between all the BB and CC creams that are on offer to us. I have always wanted to try one so that I could understand the concept of a BB cream but spending £7 on something that I may not use didn't appeal to me. I received it in the colour Light - this is because Glossybox ask you to complete your beauty profile so that they send you products that do actually match your skin types etc. I'm going to try use this within the next week, but as I don't exactly have perfect flawless skin I think typical foundations with a heavier coverage will be better for me.
You can buy it here or additionally at your local Boots or Superdrug.

Ciaté London Paint Pot £9 for 13.5ml
I am a nail addict so getting this in my Glossybox got me super excited. Ciaté are a well known brand and I have been eyeing up their polishes for ages. I haven't yet used this because I did my own gelish nails the other day, but once they come off this polish will be the first thing to go on my nails. The colour I received is 'Pom Pom' (PP084) which has reddish/pinky tones.
You can buy them here.

Étre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel €12.95 for 15ml
Dry lips is an issue that I struggle with the most, I find it almost impossible to keep them smooth despite my effort with thousands of lip care products. The texture of this is creamy when applied on the lips and also grainy because of whatever they have used in the formula to work as an exfoliator. Instantly after using it I found that my lips were nice and smooth - no dry skin in sight!
You can buy it here.

Yves Rocher France Quelques Notes D'Amour
This is a product I received in sample size, which is often the case with Yves Rocher products I have received in previous packages. Yves Rocher are a brand that I hadn't really heard of until I signed up to Glossybox but apparently they are a big brand in France. The smell of this fragrance is quite romantic (if that makes any sense at all!). I think there is a touch of fruitiness in the scent too and overall it does smell quite nice!

Overall, I found this months Glossybox to be okay BUT I do think that it will be my last as I am considering cancelling because I should really be spending my money on better things!

Don't forget, you can sign up to Glossybox here and find out more about what they have on offer :)
