Mini Beauty Haul: Treating Myself

05:46:00

Hello 2018! Whilst writing this post I thought I'd look back on my previous first blog posts of the years to see how I've previously welcomed in the new year on my blog. I just read through my 'Saying hello to 2016' post and read about how I pledged to go on a health kick and reinvent myself. I'm howling with laughter because 2 years on I'm sat here fully knowing that it never did happen and in fact, I've definitely gained a few pounds rather than lost them. But I blame that on having a boyfriend and us eating far too many Dominos, McDonalds, Indian and Chinese takeaways. Oops! Ironically that is actually our resolution for this year - to cut down on the takeaways. So far we are 6 days in to the year and already have had two Chinese takeaways so I think our resolution is out of the window.

Anyways, this isn't a post about my New Years resolutions. It's about how I started the year doing something that I do best - online shopping! I decided to treat myself to a few new beauty bits that a lot of people rate so I just wanted to see if they are worth the hype or not and mix up my regime - New year, new me and all that.

Back in December whilst picking up the Morphe 35O2 Second Nature palette as a Christmas present for my cousin I decided to have a quick flick through the new in section of Morphe and I came across the 15N Night Master palette. This palette was released as part of their limited edition holiday collection alongside the 15D Day Slayer palette so I'm not too sure if they're still available to buy or not.

The Morphe 15N Night Master Palette contains 15 colours to create the perfect evening eyeshadow look. Colours from top left to right include:
Custom - matte cream, Unique - shimmering beige, Opal - matte orange, Talent - shimmering orange/peach, Shook - Matte deep orange
Va Va Voom – matte dusky deep red, Illustrated – shimmering pink purple, Goals – deep matte orange, Editorial – matte orange brown, Creativity – Shimmering coral
Scene Рdark matte purple, Clich̩ Рdeep matte pink, Excuse Me Рshimmering dark purple, Hello Рmatte off brown, Craze Рshimmering purple.

I'm not exactly a big night out person which this palette would be perfect for, but I just wanted to add it to my ever growing collection of Morphe palettes as I can use it for when I want my eyes to look a bit more glam as it features multiple dramatic and vibrant shimmers. The picture I took shows what the shades look like with flash on.
